Between 22nd and 25th November 17 we conducted the cookery festivals in VIVA 9 which is the annual cultural festival of Vibgyor High school. Children from different grades signed up for the hands on cooking session. Grades in early secondary learnt how to make savoury dishes like Quesadillas, Trifle pudding and pillow sandwiches while they got enlightened about cuisines and food cultures of different countries. Junior grades learnt chocolate and cookie making. We taught cooking to almost a hundred children of the school.
Partner school Vibgyor Roots and Rise school also conducted similar workshops for their VIVA fest in the same month. Their program was slightly different but equally meaningful. The teachers who sat in, the school principal and parents of the children were extremely gratified by this meaningful skill enhancement workshop.
