In the year 2016 I conducted a series of cooking classes with senior citizens. It was an activity aimed at involving the elders in contemporary activities. There were mother and daughter sessions and a couple were simple just cook along. The ages of senior women were between sixty five and eighty two. The workshops were interactive and demonstrative. Chopping, peeling, tossing, sauté-ing, simmering followed by tasting made the afternoons memorable. The senior ladies went on to recreate the recipes that they learnt and threw their own parties and posted their success back to Peppercorns on our social media platform.
